    Q. What are the key pieces every woman should have in her winter wardrobe?

A black well-fitted blazer or tuxedo jacket

    A great pair of boots

    A Statement Coat

    Q. What winter trends are you embracing this year?

Berry tones and bright reds are a welcome colour trend for winter.

Faux fur is also a big trend that has trickled down from the European runways. I love the subtle approach Katies has taken to the trend, adding just a touch to the trim of puffer coats and puffer vests.

As always, knitwear is huge for winter. Katie's have a really great offering of classic staples including a cable knit sweater (one of my personal favourites).

  • Q. What are your top style tips for time poor women?

Make sure you do your research. Analyse your lifestyle and dress accordingly to best service it, whilst feeling great at the same time.

If you work in an office by day, opt for simple silhouettes such as shift dresses or skirt/pant and top combos, paired back with a simple low heel and practical tote bag.

If you have kids you will most likely struggle to keep things clean for a whole day. Opt for simple pieces in dark colours or patterns, where food smears and crayon marks can easily be disguised.

    Q. What are your top shopping strategies for starting a new season wardrobe?

Invest in key pieces that suit your body shape, aesthetic and lifestyle, and most of all that you feel comfortable in.

Once you have built up your staples, such as a great coat, denim jeans, tailored pants, a well-cut blazer, quality shirting etc, you can then update your look from month to month with the change of accessories and footwear if you feel the need.

Sit down and make a note of your lifestyle needs, budget and own style ethos, and you will save both time and money by being more discerning and shopping smarter.
